Privacy Policy

Verilium is a practice tool for customer-discovery interviews. You hold a voice conversation with a synthetic customer, write down what you learned, and get feedback on your interviewing technique. This policy explains what we collect to make that work, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. “We” means Verilium; you can reach us at support@verilium.ai.
The short version
- Your practice is private. Only you can see your transcripts, notes and scores.
- We do not store audio of your interviews. We keep the text transcript so you can review it.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your practice sessions to train AI models.
- You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time.
What we collect
Account information from Google. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a unique Google account identifier. We use these only to sign you in and to keep your sessions attached to your account. We never see your Google password and we do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
Practice sessions. For each session we store which synthetic customer and framework you chose, a timestamped text transcript of the conversation, the synthesis you write afterwards, the scorecard generated from them, and any “fair / not fair” or accuracy feedback you give on that scorecard.
Audio. During an interview your microphone audio is streamed to our voice provider so the synthetic customer can hear and answer you, and is transcribed to text. Verilium does not record or store the audio.
Technical data. We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary: one that keeps you signed in, and one random identifier that lets practice you did before signing in follow you into your account. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run the interview, generate your scorecard, and show your progress over time.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.
- To improve the quality of the feedback. Your “fair / not fair” votes and accuracy ratings help us check that the scoring is right. If we review transcripts for this purpose we do so in limited numbers, with access restricted to the Verilium team.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the service.
The customers you speak to are synthetic. Nothing they say is real customer evidence, and we do not present or sell it as such.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each handling only what it needs to:
- Google: sign-in.
- Supabase: authentication and our database, hosted in the United States.
- Vercel: hosting for the website and application.
- OpenAI: real-time voice. Your interview audio and the conversation are processed through their API to produce the synthetic customer’s speech and the transcript.
- Anthropic: scoring. Your transcript and synthesis are processed through their API to produce the scorecard.
We use these providers’ business APIs, under terms that do not permit them to use your content to train their models. They may retain API data for a limited period for abuse and safety monitoring, as described in their own policies. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Verilium.
Accelerators and cohorts
If you join Verilium through an accelerator or course, the people running it may see aggregate information such as how many sessions their cohort has completed and average score trends. They cannot see your transcripts, your notes, or your individual scorecards.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your account and practice history for as long as your account exists so that you can track your progress. You can ask us to delete your account, or any individual session, by emailing support@verilium.ai from the address you sign in with. We will delete it from our systems within 30 days. You can also remove Verilium’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email support@verilium.ai and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Google user data
Verilium’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google account information solely to authenticate you and identify your account. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service, we do not use it for advertising, and no human reads it except where necessary for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Practice data is stored in a private database that is reachable only by our application, and every request is checked so that an account can read only its own sessions. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you.
Children
Verilium is intended for adults. It is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the product or by email before the change takes effect.
